Quincy Woman Seriously Injured in Highway 70 Crash in Plumas County

FEATHER RIVER CANYON - A 61-year-old Quincy woman suffered major injuries following a rollover accident Sunday afternoon in Plumas County, Plumas News reported. According to a CHP report, Kathleen Pickering was driving her 1999 Ford F-350 eastbound on Highway 70 toward Quincy, west of Rich Bar Road, when her truck left the roadway, struck a mound of dirt, and became airborne. The truck became wedged in the cliff, precariously suspended in the air. Pickering was extricated from her vehicle by Plumas County Search & Rescue personnel and flown to Enloe Medical Center in Chico with broken ribs, a broken wrist, internal bleeding, and other injuries. The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
