Woman Killed in Clovis Head-On Car Accident
FRESNO COUNTY - According to the Fresno Bee, a 39-year-old woman was killed in an early morning crash in Clovis. At about 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Taft H Gaines III, 20, of Auberry, was traveling in a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck on Auberry Road north of Copper Avenue when for unknown reasons he drifted across the double yellow center line and collided with a 2006 Toyota Scion traveling south. Following the collision the Scion spun and collided with a 2002 Ford pickup.
The woman driving the Scion was reported to have tragically died at the scene of the accident. Gaines suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Clovis Community Hospital. The driver of the Ford, Juan N. Guzman, 59, of Sanger, was not injured in the accident.

FRESNO COUNTY - On Sunday afternoon, a 3-year-old girl was struck and ran over by an SUV in a Walmart parking lot in Clovis, The Fresno Bee reported. The 4:10 p.m. accident happened at the Walmart located on Shaw Avenue. Officials at the scene are uncertain how this incident occurred and ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor. However, the driver was cited due driving without a license and the young girl was rushed to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
