Father and Daughter Struck and Killed by SUV in Concord

Concord Accident April 7.pngCONTRA COSTA COUNTY - A family riding their bicycles was horrifically struck by a speeding SUV in Concord on Saturday, Mercury News reports. The accident happened on Treat Boulevard, near Oak Grove Road, at about 9:30 a.m. when a 17-year-old Concord man in a 2002 Cadillac Escalade traveling west on Treat, lost control of the vehicle, jumped the curb and hit Solaiman Nuri, 41, of Concord, and his two daughters, 9- and 12-years-old.

Witnesses at the scene stated the driver was going at "a high rate of speed." Officers said the driver, David Rosen of Concord, swerved to avoid a car in front of him as he sped through the intersection and lost control of the SUV. Bicycle Accident Injury and Wrongful Death Liability

When pedestrians are struck by a vehicle that is traveling at a high rate of speed, the results can be tragic and devastating. Major injuries or death of innocent victims are usually what occurs after the collision. Therefore, after an accident such as this one, the family of the victims would be well-advised to speak to an experienced and knowledgeable Northern California bicycle accident lawyer. A caring attorney who has handled numerous personal injury and wrongful death claims, can ensure the family's legal rights are protected and that they are fully compensated for the child's injuries, and for the dreadful and unexpected loss of their family members.
