Five Injured in Southeast Fresno Car Crash
FRESNO COUNTY -- A 40-year-old woman from Sanger was severely injured in a car crash just after 6 p.m. Saturday night, CBS 47 reports. According to California Highway Patrol, Jeanette Martinez was side-swiped at the intersection of Belmont and Temperance Avenue. CHP stated, the driver, whose name has not been released, hit Martinez's vehicle after running a stop sign. Following the collision, Martinez and two of three passengers in her vehicle were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to CRMC with minor injuries.

The accident on August 20th remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. However, based on the limited information provided by CBS 47, it appears the driver may be at fault for the accident due to either negligent or reckless actions.
